Review replies for independent hostels, small hotels and B&Bs
Your guest reviews, answered in your voice.
Each month I reply to your new reviews on Google, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Expedia and Hostelworld, up to a fixed cap. You never have to log in, and you never share a password. No calls and no contract.
See plans: from £49 / $59 a monthCurrently taking a small number of properties in the UK and US.
What a reply looks like
Short, specific to what the guest said, and in your tone. No templates pasted under every review, and never a guest's name.
★★★★☆
"Great location and the staff were lovely. The beds were comfy, but the showers on our floor took ages to warm up in the morning."
Example reply
Thank you for staying with us, and for the kind words about the team. They'll be glad to hear it. Sorry the morning showers were slow to warm up; that's useful to know, and we've passed it on. Hope to welcome you back next time you're in town.
An illustration only, not a real review. With clients, a line like "we've passed it on" is only used once you've confirmed it's true.
How it works
Everything happens by email. After a short setup, your part is an occasional approval.
Confirm platforms
Tell me which review sites you use. I confirm I can get reply access to each one before you pay.
Set your voice
A short form: your tone, things to always or never say, and who approves replies.
Give limited access
You add me as a user with my own login, following a one-page guide per platform. No passwords change hands.
Replies go out
I check daily and draft within 2 business days. In month one you approve every reply. After that, routine replies go out after my check.
Pricing
Simple monthly plans with a clear cap. The cap counts new reviews across all your platforms combined.
Small
£49 / $59 per month
- Up to 15 new reviews answered a month
- Up to 2 platforms
- Monthly summary: themes, praise, recurring complaints
Standard
£79 / $99 per month
- Up to 30 new reviews answered a month
- Up to 3 platforms
- Monthly summary: themes, praise, recurring complaints
- Busy month? Extra reviews are £2 / $2.50 each, only if you approve them in advance. Otherwise they're left for you, or you can upgrade. Nothing carries over to the next month.
- Covers reviews posted after the service starts. Older reviews can be quoted for separately.
- Month to month, cancel any time, no setup fee. The first month is paid upfront; there's no free trial.
- If a platform can't give reply access, I'll tell you before you buy. I can still write drafts for you to post there yourself, which is a smaller service.
The service promise
- I check for new reviews every business day.
- A draft is ready within 2 business days of a review appearing.
- Approved replies are submitted within 1 business day.
- Sensitive reviews (safety, theft, refunds, staff conduct, health, discrimination, legal threats) always wait for your facts or approval.
- If service stops for more than 2 business days, you get that period's fee back. Planned breaks are announced a week ahead.
Business days are Monday to Friday, Eastern European Time, excluding public holidays (see the terms). Platforms may hold replies for moderation; Booking.com says up to 48 hours.
What I don't do
- Promise more bookings, higher rankings or lower commission. This saves you time and keeps replies consistent. That's the whole claim.
- Ask for your passwords.
- Use guests' names, or say you've done something you haven't confirmed.
- Website changes, booking-engine work, marketing emails or social posts.
Access, without passwords
I use the user or manager roles each platform provides. You stay in control and can remove my access at any time. If you cancel, I remove it myself.
| Platform | How access works |
|---|---|
| You add me as a Manager on your Business Profile. | |
| Booking.com | A separate extranet user with the narrowest permissions available. |
| Hostelworld | A separate user on your property account. |
| Tripadvisor | Delegated management access to your listing. |
| Expedia | A separate user on your Partner Central account. |
Who's behind it
I'm Markus, and I run Porter & Key. I write every reply with care and check it myself before it goes anywhere. Everything happens in writing, on your schedule.
One person, one inbox: when you email, you reach me.
Your data
Every client gets a data-processing agreement. Drafts are prepared with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude, under its business terms, which don't use your data for training) and always checked by me.
Only the public review text and facts you've approved are used. Never guest booking details or private messages. Drafts and data are deleted 30 days after you cancel.
Get in touch
Email markus@porterandkey.com with your property's name and the review sites you use. I'll reply within one business day.
Did I email you and you'd rather not hear from me again? Just reply "no" and you won't.
